A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MA RYSVILLE ADOPTING A SIX-YEAR
TR ANSPORTATION IMPROVE MENT PROGRAM (20 10-20 15)
W HEREAS ,the City Co uncil of the City of Marysville,Was hington,pursuant to RCW
35 .77.0 10,held a public heari ng o n Ju ly 27,2009 for the purpose of revisi ng a nd extending its
Comp rehensive Six-Yea r Transportation Program; a nd
W HEREAS,the Ci ty Co uncil has reviewed the current status of City streets and has
co nsidered the testimony and exh ibits presented at the public hearing ,a nd finds that the programs
presented by the Public Works Department are in t he long-range best interests of the C ity;NOW,
THEREF ORE ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C ITY CO UNCIL O F THE C ITY OF MA RYSVILLE,
WASH INGTON AS FOLLOWS :
1. Th e Comp rehensi ve S ix-Yea r Transportation Improvement P rogram (20 10-2015)
presented to the City Counci l,cop ies of w hich are on fil e a nd open to pub lic inspect ion at the office
o f the City Clerk ,is hereby approved a nd adopted in its ent irety.
2.T he City is hereby d irected to fil e copies of said Programs wit h the Sec retary of
Tr ansportation.

Marysville Middle Schools. Overlay from 7
th St to Grove St.
ITEM NO.2 53 RD AVENUE NE: SR 528 TO SUNNYSIDE BLVD
Construct bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
ITEM NO.3 STATE AVENUE /SR528 INTERSECTION
Change SE and SW radii as a condition of development of adjacent property to dedicate
necessary right-of-way to make this improvement.

Construct a new traffic signal at the intersection.

Construct turn lane and a new traffic signal at the intersection.

Construct turn lane(s), modify traffic signal, add a second westbound thru lane and extend the
eastbound right-turn lane.

Construct pedestrian signal at the intersection of SR 528 and Delta Avenue.

Add thru lanes and turn lanes. Modify traffic signal.

Implement Intelligent Transportation Systems Program to improve signal coordination and
management, roadway monitoring and response, ITS device management,and data collection.
System to include communications equipment, traffic signal equipment,video surveillance
and monitoring, video detection,and satellite traffic management center.

Install additional 2 lanes, curb, gutter and sidewalk to the existing 3-lane roadway
improvement currently under construction for the ultimate 5-lane roadway section.
ITEM NO. 13 STATE AVENUE: 100TH STREET NE TO 116TH STREET NE
This project will provide a 5 lane roadway section with curb, gutter and sidewalk,and replace
the Qui1ceda Creek culvert and embankment with a bridge.

Preliminary studies to explore possible alignment options and feasibility of creating a
"bypass"connection between First Street and 61st Street NE/Sunnyside Boulevard.Establish
an alignment and determine ROW needs.

Construct a new roadway alignment through the Grace Creek basin consisting of a minimum

east, this project will replace the 84
th Street NE corridor as the route between 67 th Avenue NE
and State Route 9.

existing 2-lane swing span bridge with a 4-lane fixed span bridge.

Phase 2 of WSDOT interchange improvement project that will add an eastbound to
southbound loop ramp and other ramp improvements to the widened bridge.
