'7..:&5i<t RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ENCOURAGING THE CITIZENS OF MARYSVILLE TO VOTE ON MARYSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSITION 1 ON THE SPECIAL ELECTION BALLOT ON APRIL 27, 2010 WHEREAS, it has come to the City Council's attention that the Marysville School District has placed before the voters on April 27, 2010 Proposition No.1 relating to general obligation bonds for school district improvements, equipment and pre-planning site and facility analysis; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Marysville City Council wish to urge voters to vote on the special ballot on April 27, 2010 regarding Marysville School District Proposition No. 1. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: The Mayor and City Council of the City of Marysville do hereby urge all registered voters within the Marysville School District boundaries to carefully consider Proposition No.1 of the Marysville School District and to vote in the April 27, 2010 election. The Special Ballot Measure reads as follows: MARYSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT No. 25 PROPOSITION NO.1 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS -$32,000,000 The Board of Directors of Marysville School District No. 25 approved a proposition for bonds. This proposition would authorize the District to replace and equip Cascade Elementary; advance student learning by modernizing technology systems and equipment; make basic repairs to Marysville-Pilchuck pool; make health and safety improvements; and do pre-planning site and facility analysis; by issuing $32,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within a maximum of20 years; and collect excess property taxes annually to repay the bonds, as provided in Resolution No. 2010-8.
