A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILL E ADOPTING A SIX-YEAR
TRAN SPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PRO GRAM (2011-2016)
WH EREAS ,the City Counc il of the C ity of Marysville,Wash ington ,pursuant to RCW
35 .77 .010,held a public hearing on July 26,2010 for t he purpose of revising and extending its
Compr ehensive S ix-Year Transp ortat ion Program ;and
WHER EAS ,the City Council has reviewed the current status of City streets and has
considered the test imony and exhib its presented at the pub lic hearing, and finds that the programs
presented by the Public Works Department are in the long-range best i nterests of the City ;NOW ,
THE REFORE,
B E IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCI L O F T HE C ITY OF MARYSV ILLE,
WASH INGTON AS FOLLOWS :
1.The Comprehensive Six-Yea r Tr ansportation Improvement Program (20 11-20 16)
presented to th e C ity Council, cop ies of w hich are o n file and ope n to public inspec tion at t he o ffice
of t he City Clerk,is hereby approved and adopted in its entir ety .
2 . The C ity is hereby directed to file copies of said Programs w ith t he Sec retary of
Transportation.

SUMMARY:
The proposed Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the years 20 II 2016, once
implemented,will advance the City's ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and safety of the
roadway system, Key, near-term infrastructure improvements include 51st Ave. NE from R4 1h St.
NE to RR'"SL NE, Lakewood Triangle Access / 156'"SL Overcrossing and 40'" SL NE / SR 92
Extension.
In addition to City revenues, the Transportation Program also relies on grants and support from
other agencies. Consistent with past practice, Public Works staff will continue to aggressively
pursue grant funding Cor many projects within the Program.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:Sraffrecommends that Council Authorize the Mayor to conduct
a public hearing regarding the Six-YcarTransportationlmprovcl11cnl Plan (2011-2016)ancl
based on staffpresentation,public testimony, and Council deliberations ------approve a resolution
adopting a Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (20 II ,20]il)for the City or Marysville.

Notice is hereby given that the Marysville City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 700
p.rn., on Monday, July 26,2010 in the Council Chambers of Marysville City Hall located at
1049 State Avenue,Marysville,Washington.The purpose of this public hearing is to
consider the following:
A Resolution of the City of Marysville adopting a Six Year Transportation
Improvement Program (2011-2016)in accordance with RCW 35-77-010.
Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard in support of or opposition to this
proposal.Additional information may be obtained at the Marysville City Clerk's Office, 1049
