RESOLUTION NO. J. ~ 14
A RESOLUTION OF THE MARYSVILLE CITY COUNCIL ENACTED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE ORDINANCE RELATING TO "STAY OUT OF DRUG
AREAS" (SODA) ORDERS FOR THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, on "Fe 6. 13 ,2012 the Council enacted Ordinance ~ related to
Violation of "STAY OUT OF DRUG AREAS" (SODA) ORDERS and the Ordinance
becomes effective on Fe.bR'l M.<s a. D ,2012; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires that "STAY OUT OF DRUG AREAS" (SODA) orders
set forth Prohibited Areas that have been established by a resolution of the City Council at a
minimum of every two years; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires that the establishment of Prohibited Areas be supported
by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more declarations and/or
other sworn testimony; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on February 13,2012 and reviewed
the testimony and declarations of the Police Department and/or heard other sworn testimony;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Marysville adopts and incorporates by reference the attached
Description in Exhibit A and Map in Exhibit B for "Stay out of Drug Area" (SODA)
Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug trafficking.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effectivek. ---""''-='-+-='''
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this ~day of February, 2012.

Description
Stay Out of Drug Areas (SODA) -Prohibited Areas
The entire area including but not limited to, both sides of the full width of streets, all real
property -public and private, alleys, sidewalks, common areas, planting strips, parks, railroad
tracks, marinas, trails, beaches and parking areas within the area described below using streets
and geographical boundaries as the perimeter as follows:
The intersection of 1st St and Alder Avenue/Alder Street north along Alder Street to Alder
Avenue;
North along Alder Avenue to the intersection of Alder Avenue and 9th Street;
West along 9th Street, past Delta Avenue, to the west side of the railroad tracks;
South along the west side of the railroad tracks to 8th Street;
West along 8th Street past the intersection of Ash Avenue to the City limits abutting 1-5;
South along the City limits abutting 1-5 (including the intersections of Ash Avenue and 60 th
Aveune NE) to I st Street;
East along I st Street to the west side of the railroad tracks;
South along the west side of the railroad tracks to the waterline;
South east along the waterline, including the park and marina areas, to the west side of 529;
North east along west side of 529;
Crossing 529 along the City limits to the east side of 529;
South west along the east side of 529 to the water line;
South east along the waterline to the east side of Columbia A venue;
North on the east side of Columbia Avenue to the south side of 1st Street;
East along 1st Street to the intersection of 1st Street and Alder Avenue/Alder Street.
